This little package actually captures the essence of having a practice amp with a classy surrounding, to boot. The sound quality for a single watt practice amp is reasonably good and is ideal to be used within your own room. The power adaptor included in the package is very useful since you could fry the circuits of the amp if you plug it in on it's own. At the least you need not get a fresh 9V adaptor for this one.
Consider another type of amplifier if
- You would like more differences in effects (since some practice amp do have a spread of effects built in).
- You need this to be a substitute CD player (since you don't have a CD jack in this model).
- You want to practice the actual sound of your playing so that implies you need a stronger amplifier to duplicate the sound of being on stage.
- You want a practice amp that may go side-by-side with the whole band playing with you.
