It Would Seem That There Are Positives To Illegal Downloading
It would certainly seem that the people that are into music downloading for free are also into spending more money on buying music than the people who do not download music for free. What is the reason for this and if it is the case then perhaps the government should allow it to continue.
The thing is these kinds of things are happening because people are downloading the album just for a listen before they decide on whether to buy it or not which I think is actually a good idea. There are thousands of albums out there with just a couple of decent songs in which is why a small preview of the song is just not enough.
When it works people will then like the sound of the album and go out and buy the album for use. There are loads of artists out there like Lily Allen that are moaning that it doesnt give smaller artists the money they need but it would seem that they may be wrong. If you are a poor band then you are not going to succeed anyway, it doesnt matter how many people are downloading it. With this fact in mind what should actually be going foward on all of this?
Less money should be spent trying to get these people to stop and more on advertising music to the people who do not illegally download.
The real lesson here is that the artists should not always jump to the conclusion that it is the people doing wrong but should think perhaps its just people are not buying music and it could even been to do with the quality of the artist.
