Asus P5W DH Deluxe Memory problems?
recently brought 2 gb of geil ultra pc6400 800mhz 2 x 1gb
installed it in to my computer and have had nothing but problems.
now i have heard from various forums that the memory can overclock to 1000mhz, but mine struggles to stay stable at 800mhz.
i tried in my friends mobo and it overclocked to over 1000 mhz.
i decided to put my old memory back in (which is kingston) and that overclocked to 1000 mhz. Which makes me think that it could be a compatability issue with the asus p5w dh deluxe and the geil memory.
p.s i did a memory test (memtest 86+) for 2 hours and no faults came up.
You may need to go into the BIOS, and check the settings for your memory.
